Confining and channeling sound through coupled resonators

Confining sound is of significant importance for the manipulation and routing acoustic waves. We propose a Helmholtz resonator (HR) based subwavelength channel formed at interface two metamaterials, this purpose. The confinement quantified through (i) substantial reduction pressure, (ii) an increase in specific impedance (defined by ratio local pressure to velocity) - very large value outside channel. robust frequency as well spatial disorder interface, long related edge mode situated within band gap. A closed circuit was introducing controlled HR units corners, indicating possibility confining point.
